Follow the White Rabbit to Wonderland, where students in Cazenovia College’s Fashion Design Program will present the 35th Annual Cazenovia College Fashion Show on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m., at the Schneeweiss Athletic Complex on Liberty St., in Cazenovia. General admission is $8 per person, $5 for students. To reserve tickets, or for more information, call Sherri Benedict at 315.655.7196. Six seniors will present their senior collections, groups of garments with unifying themes or characteristics upon which an entire line of clothing could be based. The emcee will be alumna Jeannine Cotropia, a 1998 graduate of the College’s Fashion Design Program. Cotropia worked in the showroom and as a merchandiser for Urban Outfitters and Free People, a fashion company out of Philadelphia. She recently started her own company manufacturing “shape wear” and will be showing the line at major trade shows this summer. Refreshments will be served at the end of the show, and designers and models will be on hand to chat about their clothing designs and their experiences as students in the design program. This year’s show is inspired by the classic story of Alice in Wonderland. Guests will be greeted in the lobby by cutouts of characters from the story, and upon entering the gymnasium they will find themselves in Alice’s distorted world. Promotional materials were designed by Carrie Perlet, a senior who is majoring in visual communications.
